AEVINI

Terms of Service

Effective July 2026 · Last updated 10 July 2026
Plain-English summary. Aevini is provided as-is. Be reasonable in how you use it. If you break something or do something abusive, we can suspend your account. If Aevini itself breaks, we'll do our best to fix it but we can't promise perfect uptime. If you have a problem, email us and we'll figure it out.

Everything below is here so the rare hard moments have a rulebook. But Aevini is really about those small joys of watching something great and having someone in your household, or across town, or across the world to talk about it with. That only works when everyone treats each other, and the community we are creating together, with respect. Thanks for being here.

1. Acceptance

By creating an Aevini account or using the Aevini app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Aevini.

2. What Aevini is

Aevini is a household TV show tracking app. It lets you and your household track what you're watching, share progress, rate episodes and seasons, and send recommendations to connected households ("Neighbours"). Show metadata (posters, episode lists, air dates) is supplied by third-party services and is provided as-is; accuracy is not guaranteed.

3. Your account

To use Aevini you need an account. You're responsible for keeping your password secure. If someone else uses your account with your credentials, that's on you. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Aevini. If you're under 18, use Aevini with your parent or guardian's permission.

4. Acceptable use

Please use Aevini in ways that don't hurt other users or us. Specifically, don't:

If you break these rules, we can suspend or delete your account without notice.

5. Household and household data

When you're part of a household, other household members can see the shows you add, your ratings, your reactions, and your progress. That's the point. Don't add content to a shared household you wouldn't want your household to see.

Household invite codes and Neighbour codes are how people join your household or connect with you. Treat them with the same care you'd treat a house key.

6. Third-party services

Aevini uses third-party services to work — including Supabase, Netlify, Apple, The Movie Database, and Trakt. Their availability and behaviour is outside our control. If a third-party service goes down or changes how it works, Aevini may be affected too.

Show data (titles, descriptions, images, air dates, streaming availability) comes from The Movie Database and Trakt. It may be incomplete or inaccurate. Aevini doesn't create or verify this data.

7. Notifications

If you enable notifications, we send them for events like new episodes airing, new seasons dropping, recommendations from your Neighbours, and activity in your Watch Together groups. You can turn any of these off from Settings. Notifications are delivered via Apple's Push Notification service; delivery is not guaranteed.

8. Changes to the service

Aevini is under active development. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time. We'll try to preserve your data across changes and give notice for significant changes, but we don't guarantee that any specific feature will continue to exist or work the same way.

9. Free and paid features

Aevini offers both free and paid features. The specific mix of what's free and what's paid may change over time as the app evolves. Nothing you use today will be retroactively made paid without your consent.

10. Warranty disclaimer

Aevini is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that Aevini will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any data will be preserved indefinitely.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — for example, liability for fraud or willful misconduct.

12. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Aevini's operator from and against any and all third-party claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:

We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense of that matter. You will not settle any matter that affects our rights without our prior written consent.

13. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, or by emailing hello@aevini.com. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue Aevini. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (warranty disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, governing law) will survive.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Nothing in this section limits any consumer protection rights you may have under your local law.

15. Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes to these Terms, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top and, where changes are significant, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Contact

Questions, complaints, or anything else: hello@aevini.com.
